KOA UPRISING GEICO Bikers for Tykes
The event took place April 9th - April 11th. Southside
School of Professional Wrestling performed at 1:00
p.m., 3:00 p.m. and at the Main event at 5:00 p.m.

Battle In The Hangar - On March 20th the Southside School of Professional
Wrestling ruled the "Battle in the Hangar" aboard USS
Harry S. Truman. This was the first time a wrestling
show has ever been performed on an active aircraft
carrier here at the Norfolk Naval Base! |

Southside Professional School of Wrestling presents "Battlezone."
TV tapings began in March and are now airing on Cox
Cable Channel 11 every Sunday night at 10:30 p.m. and
repeat on Fridays at 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30
p.m.

Harborfest 2009 Weekend a blast:
Southside School of Professional
Wrestling was helping kids with Down Syndrome Harborfest
weekend during the Grand Opening of Norfolk’s Town Point Park. We were at the Stage Right Bar
Tent selling beer and Jack Daniels Down Home Punch while
collecting donations for Kids with Down Syndrome.
It rained a little on Sunday but that didn’t stop the
generosity of people contributing to Down Syndrome
research. Thanks to all who came out and
especially supporting such a great cause. |

FM99 -
Bad Co/Doobie Bros. Concert:
Southside School of Professional
Wrestling were VIP guests of FM99 during the FM99’s Bad
Co./Doobie Brothers Concert. The concert rocked the
stadium at the Virginia Beach Verizon Amphitheater on
June 24th. Thousands of concert goers were there.
The show was spectacular with a light show, smoke and
just plain good ‘ole rock ‘n roll. And Mark
Anthony and Rumble of the morning show “Tommy and
Rumble”, had a Rumble in the VIP tent. And you can
guess who won! |

Chesapeake Jubilee: Southside
Professional Wrestling was out in full force May 15, 16,
and 17th, handing out flyers, meeting and greeting the
Chesapeake Jubilee attendees. The weather was terrific
and the turnout was tremendous. We couldn’t have asked
for a better weekend event. Lots of food, fun and farm
animals. The people of Chesapeake were welcoming and
now know who Southside School of Professional Wrestling
is. See you next time. |

Open
House: May 2009:
Our Open House in May was another great success. More
food and fun for everyone. Adults and kids got in
our 16’x16’ wrestling ring imagining their fantasies and
getting a feel for what Professional Wrestling is all
about. Mark Anthony demonstrated some wrestling
moves when NewsChannel 3 WTKR stopped by for an
interview and sound bite for their 6:00p.m. newscast.
Which aired on WTKR that evening. If you missed out, or
just plain want to come back and hang out, we will have
another Open House on August 1st. |

Saturday night at the Fights
“Pro MMA CageFest7 Xtreme “ at the Ted Constant Center in
Norfolk, was the best event yet for Southside Professional
Wrestling, LLC. We were up close and personal with several of
the MMA professionals. Mark Anthony and Ultimate Fighter Winner
Efrain Escudero (7-0) were side by side at the table working at
the beginning of the event. Later, it was Mark Anthony and
Antwan upstairs working the fans. The CageFest Extreme was one
of the best if it’s kind and considered the fastest growing
sport in the area. And Southside Professional Wrestling, LLC was
there. |

he 4th Annual Bikers
for Tykes & Troops Motorcycle Rally and Concerts,
sponsored by GEICO Powersports, rolled through the KOA
Campground this past weekend. The event, which was
presented by Liberty Tax in Virginia Beach, from April
17–19, rocked the area with band performances, a Guitar
Hero tournament, Kane "Insane" Friesen freestyle stunt
and safety shows, a parade of bikes for the USO Freedom
Ride on Saturday, and Southside School of Professional
Wrestling Team was on hand to pass out flyers and sign
autographs for all the Wrestling fans |

Our Grand Opening on April 4th
2009 was a huge success! Our special guest 'The Guru' Sonjay
Dutt, TNA'S Superstar signed autographs, greeted potential
students, and took photo's. Mark Anthony, our training
instructor, demonstrated some techniques and did interviews with
the crowd of fans and spectators. Classes are now underway! You
can live your dreams through Southside School of Professional

April 21st, "The Dustman" Mark Myers was interviewed on WHRV-FM
89.5 (NPR). The interview took place on the show "HearSay"
hosted by Cathy Lewis. It is a news and information daily talk
show (at noon) about community events and concerns around
Hampton Roads.
